How quickly I fall for you on gloomy mornings
When my heart feels full and heavy
And I’ve lost track of the sun.
Sometimes, all I want to do is seep into your skin,
To flood your heart and drown your pain
So I’ll submerge the world to make you slip
Because on rainy days, I need you to fall for me

Your scent is lost and I can’t quite recall
what it was that filled my lungs.
Your taste is gone and I can’t seem to imagine
that continual flavor left on each of our tongues.
But I have no trouble breathing.
And things still do taste sweet.
Still, my hands tend to shiver when somehow,
they remember your heat.
Oh! The agony of seeing something too sacred to grasp,
The anguish of knowing it’s too divine to clasp.
And yet I’ll strain, I’ll struggle, I’ll stretch and reach,
and in desperation I’ll forever beseech
Dear heavens above, just end my pain!
I’m quite enthralled by what I’ll never attain.
I’m powerless and Christ, I’m going insane.
One touch- that’s all I ask, the slightest brush
I’d travel the world to feel something so lush.
Oh! Cure my bones and heal this cut
I’ll give up my soul, to touch the butt.
